Freeform crochet

Freeform crochet can be worked in different ways, one of which is to make small pieces, called scrumbles, which are then sewn or crocheted together.

One way to start is to make a wedge shape - note that the textured yarn obscures the stitches.

Add some popcorns

Then a circle and a shell

And finally a row of different height stitches and a row of crab stitch (reverse double crochet)

On this sample, the last row is worked twice
